Introduction
Abu Camp presents an extraordinary African encounter in which highlights the breathtaking wildlife and surroundings that are the Okavango Delta. Being a guest at Abu Camp, we encourage one to stroll along with and even ride elephants, to obtain a peek into their world and society. A chance of a lifetime to stand, touch and ride one of these most beautiful of creatures.
The vast 450000 acres exclusively private Abu Concession, located inside the unspoiled and breathtakingly beautiful Okavango Delta of Botswana. Given that this is the largest inland delta on earth, the Okavango and adjoining regions of northern Botswana support more elephants in comparison to virtually any other area of Africa.
Abu Camp is genuinely one of Africa’s most luxurious and finest, a genuinely extraordinary safari experience awaits.
Rooms and Suites
Illuminated walkways connect the camp’s central area with the luxurious guest rooms. Guest rooms offer vistas of the likes that only the Okavango Delta can boast, views that can be appreciated from all angles within the rooms.
The half-dozen en-suite rooms showcase their exclusive style. Blending gracefully along with their natural setting, every tented room is adorned with large veranda's as well as an outdoor and indoor shower area.
The elegant decor and fittings are as individual as is each of the views from the room, an aura of absolute luxury amid the African bush.
For relaxation and perhaps meditation, you will find a separate seating space in every tent along with a writing desk and an exclusively raised timber veranda sculpted around the lofty fig and jackal-berry trees.
Cuisine and Wine
Internationally schooled culinary chefs present imaginative delicacies of the highest standard, and dishes (many of which are served al fresco on the veranda) are wonderfully accompanied by wine from the extensive cellar.
A broad selection of award-winning international spirits and single malt whiskeys are on offer.
Lodge Facilities
The library, offering up an assortment of African literary works in addition to field guides (mammal, bird, tree guides), is the perfect location for a spot of reading and quiet reflection. Leading the way from the library is a communication spot for those wanting to keep in touch with the world outside.
A beautiful, hidden pool area concludes the Abu Camp facilities.
