Introduction

Rra Dinare is found adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve on the southeastern side of the Okavango Delta, the camp overlooks the famed Gomoti River and her flood plains teaming with both wildlife and birdlife. All that and not forgetting that the camp is in a 272 km² private concession ensuring the maximum in privacy.

Access is via light aircraft and is only a 20-minute flight to Maun to the local airfield and that is followed by a 45-minute game drive to the camp.

The perfect destination for those seeking a more land-based safari experience.

Rooms and Suites

Accommodation at Rra Dinare consists of only eight tented safari suites (7x standard suites and 1x family suite) all with views of the Gromoti River and her floodplains. Suites offer up a private viewing deck, enclosed (but separate) lounge area with writing desk, and luxuriously appointed bedrooms.

All suites are en-suite with open-air showers, flushing toilets and of course his and hers hand basins.

Cuisine and Wine

Meals prepared in the classic "safari style" are scrumptious affairs no matter whether it be breakfast, lunch, high tea or dinner. All meals are prepared by a skilled team in the kitchen using only the freshest locally sourced ingredients.

Private dinners can be arranged in advance for those special occasions. Most dietary requirements are also catered for, although prior notice must be given.

All meals are included in the nightly rate.

Lodge Facilities

The main and central guest area is all under thatch and opens in the front to the wonderful views of the Okavango Delta, a small library, lounge, curio shop and indoor dining area are all found here. A small swimming pool offers respite to the African summer days.

A raised wooden deck with firepit is where one will spend most of the time watching the surrounding wildlife while chatting to fellow guests and lodge guides.

Safari Activities

Game drives with trackers in and around the floodplains of the Gromoti River is what a stay at Rra Dinare is all about, the area, rich in wildlife and birdlife play host to the daily drama that is the African bushveld.

One has the chance of spotting Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and Wild Dog as well as the rare Roan and Sable Antelope.

Family Friendly

Children over the age of 6 years are welcome at Rra Dinare. We would suggest 12 years and upwards as there would be very little to keep younger children occupied for long periods of time.

Malaria is present and the camp is unfenced.
