The Khwai Private Reserve with over 200,000 hectares of pristine bushveld, without question, one of Botswana's most sought-after safari destinations. Unfenced and positioned between the Moremi Game Reserve, The Okavango Delta and The Chobe National Park, The Khwai offers up some of the best wildlife, birdlife and safari activities.
One can expect to site an impressive array of wildlife including; elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, spotted hyena, African wild dog, cheetah, roan and sable antelope just to name but a few. Birdlife is also a huge drawcard with around 500 species calling The Khwai home during the course of the year (summertime is best for birding).
The reserve is community run with all proceeds going back into the community and other eco-tourism ventures.
