Introduction
Hyena Pan tented camp is about wildlife, wildlife and more wildlife. From the camps lofty position amongst a grove mopane trees overlooking a small watery pan (from were the names comes from), one finds a haven for wildlife and birding enthusiasts alike.
Hyena Pan in Khwai Private Reserve offers a phenomenal location for sighting elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, wild dog as well as kudu, red lechwe and herds antelope and we have not even touched on the birding yet.
An excellent choice for visitors looking for an exclusive safari experience without all the bells and whistles, a destination with one focus, and that is wildlife.
Rooms and Suites
Only eight tented suites are available ensuring a small intimate affair in the heart of the Khwai Concession. Each suite offers up a theme of stylish simplicity with comfortable bedding and draped mosquito netting looking out over private decks and into the surrounding Khwai bushveld.

Cuisine and Wine
Three-course dinners, lunches and breakfasts are served in either the spacious dining room or the open-air boma. All meals are most certainly a tasty affair with the freshest ingredients being used by an amazingly skilled team in the kitchen.
Lodge Facilities
Amble down to the heart of the camp, and you’ll find the dining deck and lounge areas. Keep an eye on the comings and goings at the waterhole from a slouchy sofa, or float in the mini-splash pool and watch the wildlife doing the same below.
Afternoon tea is served on the viewing decks before one's afternoon game drive.
