This luxurious camp is a relaxing base for a fantastic Okavango Delta Safari experience.
Within the central region within the concession, vast open floodplains offer probably the most spectacular vistas Botswana has to offer. Jao Camp is situated on the southern side of the plains, a region with stunning islands fringed with riverine forests.

Lodge Facilities
The central guest area is built over two levels and includes a small lounge area, small library and curio shop; all with exceptions views out over the Okavango. On the top level, one finds another larger lounge, dining room and bar again with views that truly breathe taking.
Two plunge pools surrounded by wooden decking and sun loungers are located just off to the side of the central guest area.

Mekoro, boat trips, fishing, nature walks (which has to be requested ahead of travel), night and day game drives as well as birding usually are available throughout the year as a result of plethora the of wildlife in Botswana.

During an abnormally high flood season, game drives begin by boating out to a nearby Hunda Island the location where the vehicles will be waiting, and the drive commences from there. Huge herds of red lechwe are visible, accompanied by their primary predator - prides of lion.
Other wildlife common with Botswana includes elephant, buffalo, leopard, tsessebe, zebra and wildebeest, hippo and crocodile.
