Little Tubu Camp is one of the newest safari camps in the Okavango Delta, not far from her sister lodge "Tubu Tree Camp". Little Tubu offers a more intimate safari experience for only six guests, the ideal camp for a small group of friends or a family safari (children over the age of 8 years are welcome).
The camp itself is located with a 600km² private wilderness area deep in the heart of Botswana's Okavango Delta. The wildlife in this area is stunning, to say the least regarding diversity and volume.
The camp itself sits in the shade of giant trees overlooking a seasonal riverbed teaming with wildlife and birdlife.
Elevated walkways link the three luxury safari tented suites with the lodges central area. Each one of the tented suites offers a private game viewing deck, en-suite facilities and of course that traditional outdoor shower.
All suites offer fantastic private views out over the surrounding African bushveld.
A swimming pool (for those hot summer days) is found near the main dining area of Little Tubu. The lounge, dining and bar areas are located in the central guest area; it is from here that game drives and other activities start.
Safari activities on offer at Little Tubu are varied depending on the time of year but as a general rule; Morning and afternoon game drives, mokoro safaris, boating safaris (in winter), fishing trips and birding from hides are all available.
Our favourite activity is, of course, the guided walking safaris, this is something that comes highly recommended by us at Uyaphi (the walk is not very strenuous).
