Introduction
Located on the edge of the Okavango Delta in an 8000-hectare private concession bordering the Moremi Wildlife Reserve, Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp is a unique luxurious offering for guests who demand only the finest.
Nxabega is surrounded by woodlands, waterways and floodplains of the Okavango Delta, all the while offering up some of the best wildlife and birding sightings in Botswana. Wildlife activities include land based, water based options and should you have a few dollars lying around a helicopter trip of the surrounding Delta is highly recommended.
Rooms and Suites
Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp sleeps a maximum of eighteen guests at any one time in nine exclusive luxury tented suites. All suites are positioned under African Ebony trees with views out of the Okavango waterways.
Large private verandahs with ample sitting space and sala lead into a bedroom with kingsized bed, writing desk and small sitting area all adorned in classic safari decor with wood, leather and local artworks.
A rather large en-suite bathroom with his and her hand basins and indoor and outdoor shower areas are located just behind the bedroom.
All tented suites are positioned far enough apart to ensure total privacy.
Cuisine and Wine
The cuisine is in general excellent no matter the time of day or night. Alfresco dining (indoors or outside in the boma), bush picnics, breakfast in bed and afternoon tea are a few of the options on offer.
South African wines (red and white), soft drinks, local beers and spirits are included in the price, imported champagne, wines and spirits are for your account.
Lodge Facilities
The central guest area is expansive with both indoor and outdoor spaces, thatched roofing, teak wooden decking and local African artefacts adorn an area that is up there with the best in Africa. All areas offer views out over the Okavango Delta and beyond.
