The Savuti Channel and Marsh region of the Chobe Park is renowned as one of the best destinations for wildlife sighting and photography, especially when it comes to lions and elephants. It is also not uncommon to spot cheetah, African wild dog and spotted hyena. This area is a must when traveling through Botswana in particular when combined when the Okavango Delta and Linyanti regions.
Game viewing in the Savute region is spectacular year round, but as always it is in winter that offers up a more comfortable experience in terms of cooler temperatures (summers can be just that little bit too hot for some).
Savute is the area/region while Savuti is the river/ channel - just in case one was thinking we are going mad this side with different spellings of the same word.
The Uyaphi team has chosen a small yet varied portfolio of lodges and camps within this famed wildlife region of the Chobe National Park.
