Introduction
Savute Safari Lodge is part of a dynamic ecosystem that is renowned for its concentration of elephant, and large lion prides.
An exquisite thatch and timber main building houses the lounge, library and cocktail bar and in front, there is a viewing deck ideally situated for watching the game at the waterhole.
Savute's signature expansive glass sliding doors and viewing decks were inspired by the striking panorama, whether seen in the dry season when it can appear desert-like and barren beyond belief or after the rain on one of those crystal clear days across the vivid green of new grass, the impression is always the same.
Rooms and Suites
Savute Safari Lodge accommodates just 24 people in contemporary furnished twin-bedded luxury suites constructed of wood, thatch and glass, making them ideal for the hot and dry conditions.
Double volume suites with their spacious interior and large, glass sliding doors set the lodge apart from typical safari accommodation.
Large private viewing decks and en-suite facilities, with showers, 'his and hers' towel robes and tea and coffee making facilities combine to make this Savute Lodge an unforgettable experience.
Cuisine and Wine
The dining room is housed in a separate building doubling up as a conference room that can seat up to twenty delegates.
Lodge Facilities
Savute Safari Lodge also has a swimming pool on a raised wooden teak deck overlooking the channel, affording guests the opportunity to watch wildlife while swimming!
Safari Activities
The game viewing offered by this Lodge is an experience not to be missed, especially if you are visiting in the summer months, after November's first rains when thousands of animals are drawn to the area.
Savute Safari Lodge's highlights are its concentrations of Lion and Hyena, as well as its Leopard, Cheetah, Black-Backed Jackal and the many lone Elephant bulls, usually seen frequenting their favourite watering holes!
Family Friendly
Children from 6 years and older are most certainly welcome at Savute Safari Lodge, with family orientated accommodation options, child-friendly menus and of course fun and educational safari activities for all member of the family.
