Chinzombo brings the spa to you: massages, facials and manicures are given in the privacy of your villa, with your own plunge pool and the Luangwa River in front of you. The therapists are local and the standards international. Guided yoga classes are offered in camp, and a midday treatment slots neatly between the morning and afternoon activities in South Luangwa.
Kafunta River Lodge

Kafunta's Fig Tree Spa sits at the foot of a giant fig tree, where an on-site therapist offers massages and treatments between game drives. Beside the infinity pool is the lodge's natural hot-spring tub, fed by a geothermal source on the property, with views over the floodplain and the Luangwa River. A small gym completes the picture on the edge of South Luangwa National Park.

Royal Chundu, on a private stretch of the Zambezi upstream of Victoria Falls, takes its treatments to your suite – indoors, or out on the deck with the river as your soundtrack. The lodge lies in the Chiawa Game Management Area, just outside Lower Zambezi National Park.

At Sussi & Chuma, the treatment room sits on the riverbank, so massages, facials and manicures come with views of the Zambezi and whatever wildlife is passing. The lodge's tree houses are built into a canopy of ebony trees on the edge of Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, upstream of Victoria Falls – a quiet retreat after a morning at the falls.

Toka Leya's spa has two treatment rooms right on the water's edge, offering massages, manicures and pedicures with the Zambezi flowing past.
