The Tarangire National Park, with its famed baobab trees, is located not too far away from the famed Lake Manyara National Park, the Ngorongoro conservation area and the Serengeti National Park. Additional wildlife in the Tarangire that one can expect to view and photograph includes; leopard, cheetah, African wild dog, Grant's gazelle, and olive baboon.

For those interesting in spotting and photographing birdlife, 550 recorded species of birds have been recorded in the Tarangire, making this one of the best locations for birders and wildlife photographers alike.

Tarangire safari activities in the park include morning and afternoon (or even full-day) game drives available at all of the below lodges.
