Kalahari Desert Lodges
At 52800 sq kilometers, the Central Kalahari Game Reserve is the second largest game reserve in the world (twice the size of Massachusetts). Visitors to the park will be able to view the Big 5 as well as a plethora of smaller and endemic species.
Sitting on one of the world's largest salt pans, the Makgadikgadi Game Reserve suggests that it is a vast open, lifeless land, devoid of human habitation. Once a vast ancient lake in central Botswana and now a dried up lunar expanse, the Makgadikgadi Pans fill with water just once a year when the rains fall, attracting a Noah’s Ark of game and birdlife to this region of Botswana.
