Over the course of the last few years, we have had to opportunity to visit this amazing game reserve in the Northwest region of South Africa. One of the many striking features of the Madikwe Reserve is her vistas (other than of course her birdlife and wildlife), different to anything else that South Africa has to offer.
This is mainly because the reserve sits on the border of the Kalahari Sands Basin, where semi-desert meets bushveld (the reason why both Brown and Spotted Hyena, Springbok and Impala are found naturally inhabiting the same spaces).
The sunsets are spectacular as are the endless views of wild Africa in all her glory when we say the Madikwe is amazing we really and truly mean it.
All photographs have been taken by us here at Uyaphi.com with the sole purpose of showcasing The Madikwe Reserve, her wildlife and scenery from our point of view.
