After spending a few nights and experiencing all that is Motswiri Safari Lodge, I can honestly say that I loved every moment of my stay there with my family.
What a relaxing little slice of heaven this lodge is.
As a family, we spent many an hour (between game drives) in our suite and at the main lodge and not once where the kids, the wife or I bored. No matter the request Motswiri delivered. We even ask the staff if they could organise elephants at the waterhole and guess what, they arrived.
To say the suites are large is an understatement, with two adults and two kids in the same suite there was more than enough room not to get under each other's feet. Now imagine if there were just two adults in a suite, one would have enough space to swing a lion by the tail and not hit any of the furnishings.
As for the meals, let me just say that a visit to the gym is required when returning home. Everything that was offered was oooh so yummy, brunch and dinner were my highlights.
The main lodge area is of a rustic/ safari feel with two open fireplaces, a dining area, lounge and outside covered bar area. The outdoor dining area and swimming pool would have been amazing, but unfortunately, when we were there it was winter and way too cold to spend too much time out there (the swimming pool is not heated). In summer I would have to say this is the area that most people would be hanging around in.
WiFi around the main lodge only is available but remember that the signal is not the strongest, good enough for chats and emails though (uploading images is not worth the time or effort). Slow WiFi is the standard in the bush no matter what lodge you go to.
Cons; thought really hard about this and even asked the kids, we came up with nothing!
All photographs have been taken by us here at Uyaphi.com with the sole purpose of showcasing the lodge and area from our point of view only.
