Located deep within the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, Nottens offers over 15 000 acres of Africa's finest wildlife including 145 mammal species including the "Big 5" as well as over 500 species of birds.
Other than the "Big 5", endangered species such as wild dogs, honey badgers and cheetahs are definite highlights.
Rooms and Suites
Luxuriously appointed open plan suites with both indoor and outdoor showers offer vistas into the surrounding bush, abundant with wildlife.
All elegantly decorated suites offer a private wooden deck and are lit at night with paraffin lamps and candles, creating a magical and romantic atmosphere.
Cuisine and Wine
Meals are a delicious affair where guests gather in the enchanting candlelit boma under a canopy of stars. A roaring campfire provides the warmth and the location from which your stories of the day's wildlife activities are shared.
Whether it is a traditional bush breakfast, high tea or a three-course dinner; you will be guaranteed excellent cuisine with a varied menu using local ingredients designed to cater for all tastes.
To escape from the African sun, a 20-meter lap pool is available to guests, surrounded by covered verandahs where you can unwind, tan or enjoy sundowners including the house speciality of Pimm's cocktail.
Although there is no electricity at Nottens, battery charging facilities are available to all clients back at the main reception area.
Morning, afternoon and evening safaris are led by experienced game rangers and Shangaan trackers in open-top Landrovers traversing over 15 000 acres of bushveld.
A highly recommended option is the walking safari offered by Nottens Bush Camp for those wanting a closer and more intimate encounter with the bush.
Children 6 and over are welcome when sharing with parents.
