Getting To The Kruger

Getting To The Kruger

The Kruger National Park is very easily accessible from all the leading cities around South Africa, our team at Uyaphi.com will advise you on the best options based on you as an individual as well as your budget.

Fly or drive or be driven, with each one of these options comes a cost, private air charters being the most expensive while the most cost-effective alternative would be a self-drive.

Kruger Park Transfer Options

  • Kruger Road Transfers

    Kruger Road Transfers

Daily road transfers between Johannesburg and the Kruger National Park, including the Timbavati and the Sabi Sand, are available throughout the year. Private transfers are available on request and can be tailor-made to take in a few of the scenic and historical stops along the way. All transfers are guided by fully registered and professional English speaking driver-guides.

  • Kruger Self Drive

    Kruger Self Drive

A Kruger Self Drive safari is by far and away the cheapest option (vehicle choice dependant of course) when it comes to getting to the Kruger from any part of South Africa. These safaris are for those who love the open road and love exploring at their own pace; one can stop off at the Blyde River Canyon and Bourkes Luck Potholes or any of the numerous scenic and historical spots en-route.

  • Kruger Air Shuttle

    Kruger Air Shuttle

A daily air shuttle service is available from OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg) to the Sabi Sand, Timbavati and Kruger regions allowing one to get access to most of the establishments that we offer on Uyaphi.com. Should you require a private charter you can contact one of our consultants and we will advise on the costs and the routings.

  • Baggage Restrictions

    Baggage Restrictions

Baggage Restrictions on all light aircraft and private air charters into the Kruger, Sabi Sand, Timbavati, Thornybush, Kapama reserves are limited to 20kg per person(including your hand luggage and camera equipment) in soft-sided bag that has no wheels (this is strictly adhered to). This is due to space constraints on board the aircraft. This does not apply to commercial flights.
