Day 1: Maun To Khwai Private Reserve

  • We certainly do not waste a second, after arriving in Maun we board a charter flight to the Khwai and our home for the next few nights.
  • After getting settled in we hop on a vehicle for an afternoon game drive from Hyena Pan, sundowners and all.
  • Accommodation: Hyena Pan

Day 2: Khwai Private Reserve

  • Morning and afternoon game drives exploring the wildlife-rich Khwai.
  • A chance of a walking safari to examine the finer details of the reserve with professional guides and trackers.
  • Accommodation: Hyena Pan

Day 3: Khwai Private Reserve

  • Have you ever slept under the stars, atop a five-metre high, treehouse platform, only metres away from a game-filled waterhole?
  • Give it a go at our thrilling Skybeds (if you wish).
  • Accommodation: Hyena Pan; Skybeds

Day 4: Okavango Delta region

  • Leaving the Khwai behind, we board a chartered flight and head deep into the Okavango Delta.
  • Buckle up, your Delta adventure is about to begin!
  • The next few nights is all about camping in style, Meru-style canvas tents, real beds, down pillows and pure cotton sheets and Persian rugs.
  • And of course three-course meals.
  • Accommodation: Expedition Mobile Camp

Days 5-6: Okavango Delta region

  • We follow the wildlife on an all-day game drive, or park at a waterhole and let the animals come to us.
  • We also float around the watery wonderland on a boat safari watch hippo jousting for territory and crocodile basking in the sun.
  • The Okavango Delta is a truly magnificent place.
  • Accommodation: Expedition Mobile Camp

Day 7: Makgadikgadi Pans National Park

  • Air charter from The Okavango back to Maun.
  • From Maun, we transfer to Meno a Kwena via a road transfer (+- 3 hours).
  • Meno a Kwena, a hidden gem of a camp perched on a rocky clifftop above the Boteti River in Botswana.
  • Accommodation: Meno a Kwena

Days 8-9: Makgadikgadi Pans National Park

  • Our last few days are for discovering the Makgadikgadi and all that she offers.
  • Game drives, boat safari (water levels dependent) all in the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park.
  • We also get to meet up, walk and learn from the local Bushmen.
  • Accommodation: Meno a Kwena

Day 10: Botswana On A Budget Safari Ends

  • One last activity before driving back to Maun Airport
  • Time to say our sad fair wells to Botswana.
