For families and honeymooners alike, Kaingu Lodge is that small piece of paradise one has been searching for.
Kaingu Lodge offers guests a choice of six tented suites and one family house (with two bedrooms).
The six tented suites sit on raised wooden decks overlooking the Kafue River; large bedrooms lead into an en-suite bathroom with indoor and open-air showers - the honeymoon suite offers up an outdoor bath.
The family house is perfect for families with two bedrooms, both en-suite, an outdoor shower, a central living area, and a private deck overlooking the river.
Fresh and inventive cuisine is served three times a day in numerous locations around the lodge, weather-dependant. The head chef and his amazing team in the kitchen use as much locally sourced and organic ingredients as possible.
For families, a child-friendly menu is also available should the little ones be a tad fussy.
The thatched central guest area at Kaingu Lodge is where one will find a lounge, dining room and bar. Outdoors a redwood deck offers views out over the river and into the Kafue National Park perfect for dining and sundowners and general wildlife and birdlife spotting.
A firepit on the wooden deck is the perfect spot for those after-dinner drinks.
