Discover The Hidden Gem Of Kafue: Fig Tree Bush Camp - A Tranquil Wildlife Sanctuary
Nestled in the unexplored wilderness of Kafue National Park, amidst a plethora of wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and the occasional wild dog, one discovers the hidden gem that is Fig Tree Bush Camp. This quaint and intimate retreat, boasting merely four tented suites, emerges as the quintessential haven for aficionados of wildlife and birdlife.
It stands as the unparalleled choice for those yearning to disconnect from the hustle of modernity, offering a rustic yet profoundly authentic return to nature safari experience. The camp, with its limited accommodation, promises an exclusive and serene getaway, ensuring that every guest's stay is not just memorable but infused with the tranquillity and raw beauty of the surrounding wilderness. This sanctuary is a testament to the allure of nature's simplicity, offering a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the untouched beauty of Kafue National Park.
Rooms and Suites
Fig Tree Bush Camp is a small and rustic safari camp offering only four tented suites, three with lagoon views and one with views out over the plains behind the camp.
All tented suites offer large bedrooms, private viewing decks and en-suite bathroom facilities with hot water showers and flushing toilets.
Cuisine and Wine
Enjoy superb meals served three times a day, with the option of dining inside under the elegant canvas or outside around a crackling campfire. While you dine, immerse yourself in the authentic sounds of the African Bush, creating an unforgettable atmosphere that connects you with nature.
This unique experience combines culinary excellence with the raw beauty of the wilderness.
Facilities
The central guest area is small and consists of a tented area under which one finds a small lounge and covered dining area, and that is it. A stay here is not about the absolute in dec and furnishings; a stay here is all about what surrounds, and what surrounds is the very best of what nature has to offer.
Fig Tree Bush Camp is all about a wildlife experience, nothing more, nothing less.
A small swimming pool with loungers is available to help escape the heat of a summer's day.
Activities
Fig Tree Bush Camp offers guests three types of safari activities when staying at the camp; all activities are within the Kafue National Park and are led by professional and highly skilled guides and trackers.
Early morning and late afternoon / early evening game drives offer the chance to spot and photograph the surrounding wildlife and birdlife from the comfort of a 4x4 safari vehicle.
Early morning walking safaris take one deep in the Kafue bushveld, in which getting up close and personal with not only the wildlife but also insects and plant species is part and parcel of the three-hour experience. We highly recommend partaking in at least one walking safari.
In Conclusion
In conclusion, Fig Tree Bush Camp represents the quintessence of an authentic safari experience. Nestled within the heart of Kafue National Park's pristine wilderness, this intimate camp offers not just a place to stay but a doorway into the untouched natural beauty and raw wildlife encounters Zambia has to offer.
