In an undiscovered and wild region of the Kafue National Park surrounded by wildlife including lion, cheetah, leopard and hyena and occasionally wild dog one comes across Fig Tree Bush Camp.
A small and intimate camp that offers up only 4 tented suites is the perfect destination for wildlife and birdlife enthusiasts.
This is that perfect option for those that need to escape the modern world and experience a more rustic geet back to nature safari.
Fig Tree Bush Camp is a small and rustic safari camp offer up only four tented suites, three with lagoon views and one with views out over the plains behind the camp.
All tented suites offer large bedrooms, private viewing decks and en-suite bathroom facilities with hot water showers and flushing toilets.
Superb meals served three times a day either inside under canvas or outside around a campfire listening to the sounds of the African Bush.
The central guest area is small and consists of a tented area under which one finds a small lounge and covered dining area, and that is it. A stay here is not about the absolute in dec and furnishings, a stay here is all about what surrounds, and what surrounds is the very best of what nature has to offer.
Fig Tree Bush Camp is all about a wildlife experience, nothing more, nothing less.
A small swimming pool with loungers is available to help escape the heat of a summers day.
Fig Tree Bush Camp offers guest three types of safari activities when staying at the camp; all activities are within the Kafue National Park and are led by professional and highly skilled guides and trackers.
Early morning and late afternoon / early evening game drives offer the chance to spot and photograph the surrounding wildlife and birdlife from the comfort of a 4x4 safari vehicle.
Early morning walking safaris take one deep in the Kafue bushveld in which getting up close and personal with not only the wildlife but insects and plant species is part and parcel of the three-hour experience. We highly recommend partaking in at least one walking safari.
