Serengeti Simba Lodge is perched on a small hill (kopjie) with views out over the surrounding Serengeti National Park Ecosystem from almost every vantage point and room.
The wildlife seen throughout the year includes; lion, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, giraffe, elephant, bushbuck, zebra, gazelle and hartebeest, to mention a few. Birdlife around the lodge and surrounding bushveld are also exceptional year-round (with summer being the peak for birding).
A smallish lodge that offers guests comfortable rustic accommodation in a magnificent location, all at the right price.
The annual migration passes the lodge twice a year, around June-July and again in October. Should one be interested in these dates, one needs to book early for a safari at Serengeti Simba Lodge.
Serengeti Simba Lodge offers guests two types of accommodation options; tented suites and stone houses.
Fifteen thatched tented suites are available, each with a private deck, twin or queen bedding options, and en-suite bathrooms with concrete baths and outdoor showers. All suites enjoy endless views of the surrounding Serengeti.
Stone House Villa, on the other hand, offers up six rooms (two twin, two queen and two family rooms), each with stunning views out over the Serengeti savannah to the distant Grumeti River.
All tented suites and rooms are decorated with local fabrics and hardwood furniture, and all beds have mosquito nets for added comfort and a good night's rest.
The ingredients for all meals on offer are only sourced from the finest locally grown ingredients with an emphasis on including lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. The cuisine on offer is a mixture of European and East African options.
There are numerous locations to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner; no matter the time of day, all meal and menu options are delectable. Sundowner drinks are a must.
Should one have any dietary requests or special events (birthdays or anniversaries), please advise before arrival at Serengeti Simba Lodge.
The central guest area offers guest exception property amenities and facilities, with its scenic views out over the surrounding plains, offers guests a lounge with a fireplace, a bar, a gift shop, an outdoor viewing deck, an indoor dining area and a battery charging station. Internet access (Wi-Fi) is also available within the area, but internet speeds are not the quickest due to the lodge's location.
A large infinity swimming pool is available to all Serengeti Simba Lodge guests; this is the perfect spot to escape those hot summer days.
Morning, afternoon or full-day game drives are on offer; the length of game drives depends very much on how well the wildlife sighting goes.

With Serengeti Simba Lodge being located just outside of the Serengeti National Park one gets to participate in activities that would otherwise not be permitted, for example, night game drives.
Optional safari activities include; hot air ballooning, walks, Serengeti visitors centre and night game drives.
