A World Heritage Site and the largest expanse of game reserve in Africa, the spectacular Selous Game Reserve covers 55,000 square kilometres of rolling savannah, lakes, rivers and deltas. The reserve itself is four times the size of the Serengeti and larger than the country of Switzerland.

Selous Serena Camp is set amidst dense indigenous forests, the ultimate wilderness retreat in a "Big 5" reserve.
Experience a luxury safari in Selous Serena tented camp accommodation in 12 stunningly positioned tented suites all under individually grass-thatched structures, and each with its own extensive private sun-deck, loungers and river views.
Each suite is tastefully furnished with luxury double (or twin beds), rosewood furniture, opulent rugs and crystal chandeliers.
At the rear of each tented suite is the en-suite bathroom that features a Victorian claw-foot bath, shower and toilet.
The separate dining area and guest lounge in the main lodge area overlooks a natural watering hole which is lit in the evenings for night viewings. The majority of meat and dairy products, as well as fruits and vegetables are sourced from the communities that surround the reserve, keeping in tune supporting the local communities.
Breakfast and lunch; Breakfasts and lunches are buffet-styled affairs. A 'full English Breakfast' is available while lunch menus will typically include meat, poultry, fish and vegetarian options.
Dinner; Dinner time features table d'hôte menus feature a salad buffet, soup, entrée, pudding, cheese and biscuits and tea or coffee (Vegetarian options are always available).
Safari bar; Is the destination for that "cold one" on a hot Selous night. A good selection of wines, beer, and other alcoholic beverages are on offer.
Within the surrounding wilderness of the camp a charming central dining room, lounge, library and bar area is found. All connected by raised wooden walkways that offer excellent views out over the Selous Game Reserve.
High above the lodge, is a spectacular 'infinity' pool and sundeck.

Due to the unique nature and surrounding wildlife of Selous Serena Camp, children under the age of 7 years are not suited to stay at lodge.
Children over 7 are more than welcome though will meal plans, activities and edu programs all on offer.
