10 stilted treehouse suites offer guests the ultimate in privacy and luxury with large decks, elegant bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms featuring a free-standing bath as well as indoor and outdoor showers.
All these suites have been crafted from local timber and have banana leaf roofs whilst all have been positioned in the shade of mahogany trees. The decor is one of natural colours, rustic yet stylish furnishings all in a minimalist non-obtrusive way.
The beds with draping mosquito nets are of a seriously comfortable nature, a good night's sleep is almost guaranteed.
When it comes to mealtimes the kitchen at Tree Lodge is open to guests, ask the chefs questions about food preparation, what is for dinner, how did you cook that or just sit back and watch them work. This is one of the nicest aspects of the lodge, the willingness of the chefs to share secrets of their trade just adds another dimension to one's experience at the lodge.
Breakfasts are very flexible and are offered either at the lodge or in the form of a picnic feast while out on a game drive. Lunches again depending on what activities are planned is either at the lodge or as a picnic in the National Park.
Dinners are a 3-course affair in either the indoor dining area or outdoors in the Boma under the African stars and next to a roaring fire - weather dependent.
The main guest area at Tree Lodge features a thatched roof, wooden flooring and is open to the bushveld on two sides. The decor is sophisticated and stylish in an unobtrusive luxurious way. Comfortable couches, wooden tables with wildlife literature and local African artworks are dotted around. This is all on the second floor.
On the ground floor, there is the kitchen, dining area and a small safari shop. A short walk away one finds a swimming pool complete with deck chairs for those hot lazy Tanzanian afternoons.

Game drives are part and parcel of one's stay here at the famed Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, after all exploring the Lake Manyara National Park is why one is here in the first place. Early morning and late afternoon game drive's with experienced guides and trackers showcasing all that is Lake Manyara, from the flamingos on the soda lake to the over 400 species of bird to the numerous wildlife sighting along the route.
Lake Manyara National Park is famed for her "Tree Climbing Lions" and huge herds of buffalo and elephants.
