Five nights and six days of sights, sounds and activities that will immerse you and your children in all this area offers. Spectacular scenery, wildlife and birdlife, meet and learn from Bushmen, meerkat encounters and of course a two-night quad bike safari to Kubu Island.
Without question; the highlight of this particular safari is the quad biking and camping out in the wilds under the African stars. A truly unforgettable experience awaits all.
Day 1: Arrive at Jack’s Camp, Makgadikgadi Pans
- On arrival at Jack’s Camp, take in the surrounding vistas from one of the most legendary and iconic camps in Southern Africa.
- An afternoon game drive complete with sundowner G&Ts is an excellent introduction to Makgadikgadi Pans and the surrounding Kalahari Desert.
- Accommodation: Jack's Camp
Day 2: Jack’s Camp, Makgadikgadi Pans
- Today we visit the local habituated meerkats for some stunning photos opportunities as well as visit the famous Chapman’s Baobab.
- Afternoon game drive in search of the unique desert wildlife and birdlife is one the cards; the scenery is nothing short of spectacular.
- Jack's in the early evening is the perfect location for dinner out under the stars.

Days 3-4: Wild camping, Kubu Island
- After a scrumptious breakfast, it is time to jump on those quad bikes and head out across the vast open plains of the Makgadikgadi.
- We cross the Ntwetwe Pan to either Kubu Island or the Lost Island of the Baobabs.
- Zebra, wildebeest, ostrich and elephant are just a few of the wildlife sightings we have a chance of seeing en route.
- We spend the next two days exploring the island, picnicking on the rocks and eating out under the stars.
- We also visit the largest flamingo breeding site in the world.

Day 5: Jack’s Camp, Makgadikgadi Pans
- After breakfast, it is back onto the quad bikes for our return journey back to all the luxuries that Jack's Camp offers.
- We spend the afternoon on a cultural tour with the Zu/'hoasi Bushmen of the Western Kalahari, discovering and learning their secrets of the bushveld.
- Our last dinner and drinks under the African stars.

Day 6: Jack’s Camp And Kubu Island Safari Ends
- Time left for one last game drive, and a quick breakfast.
- Then it's time to leave the magical Kalahari behind and head for the Maun Airport.
- Continue to next destination or home.
