Sala's Luxury Safari Camp Offers Guests A True And Authentic Masai Mara Safari Experience
With exceptional service, fine dining, stunning accommodation options, the utmost in luxury and an authentic Masai Mara safari experience, this is Sala's Camp.
One of most luxurious Maasai Mara Tented Camps options available today.
Large double rooms tented suites with private plunge pools allow guests to experience the ultimate in privacy; Sala's welcomes honeymooners, couples, small groups, families (with children of all ages), photographers, birders, and those that need to escape the modern world.
Between June and September, the largest migration of wildlife crosses the border from Tanzania (Serengeti) into Kenya. This happens in the same area where Sala's is located, and those lucky enough to experience this will be treated to one of the greatest wildlife dramas on earth.
Put this way; it is not uncommon to hear from a client that 'Sala's Camp' is the best safari camp they have ever been to.
All tented suites at Sala's offer two tented rooms, one being the bedroom with en-suite bathrooms and the other being the lounge area (yes, a separate lounge).
Besides the double tents, all suites offer exceptional views across the plains and into Tanzania, a large verandah and those amazing private 6.5m² plunge pools.
The en-suite bathrooms offer flushing toilets, rain showers, bathtubs (most in any case), his and her hand basins, as well as handmade Kenyan toiletries, dressing gowns and flip flops.
Seven large and extremely luxurious tents suites consist of;
- Three superior tents
- Two honeymoon tents (Forest tent 7 would be our choice for honeymooners)
- Two family tents (the Keekorok family tent would be our choice)
The cuisine at Sala's Camp is, in a word, outstanding. The team in the kitchen produce some of the best bushveld cuisines not only in Kenya but on par with the best in Africa.
The variety of locations for dining only enhances the experience, as guests can choose to eat indoors, outdoors, or in some of the most beautiful and secluded spots in the bush.
Breakfast might consist of eggs cooked in various ways, bacon, pancakes or waffles with syrup and fresh fruit. Lunch could be a delicious wrap or sandwich with a side salad, while dinner might be a more formal affair with several courses, including starters, mains and desserts.
Bush breakfasts, lunches and dinners allow guests to enjoy delicious food while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
The wine selection at camp is nothing short of excellent. With a wide variety of wines from various regions around the world, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you are looking for a crisp white wine to accompany your meal or a robust red wine to end the evening, Sala's Camp has you covered.
The large tented guest area at Sala's offers guests a beautifully manicured lawn that leads to a fire pit and viewing deck with the Sand River only a few metres after that; views from here are outstanding.
Indoors under canvas, numerous lounges and open fireplaces are available, as is a small library, bar and indoor dining area. A shaded verandah with seating and dining options lies just beyond the sliding glass doors.
WiFi is available throughout Sala's central guest area.
