Encounter Mara Camp in the Mara Naboisho Conservancy offers guests something exciting, and that is a higher density of wildlife than the Masai Mara National Reserve.
A small safari camp with only ten tented suites available allows guests the unique opportunity to take in the surrounding sights and sounds of the surrounding mara. The perfect safari camp for those on honeymoon, those with families in tow, as well as those interested in wildlife and birdlife photography.
The location of Encounter Mara Camp is exceptional, as it offers guests a front-row seat to the annual wildebeest migration and those famed river crossings. This is one of Africa's most spectacular natural phenomena, where over two million animals travel in a clockwise direction around the Serengeti and into the Mara Triangle.
The Encounter Mara team pride themselves on providing their guests with an intimate safari experience, and they go above and beyond to make sure that everyone leaves with memories to last a lifetime.
The location of Encounter Mara is excellent for game drives, with a waterhole and salt lick close by, which means that big cats and elephants are often seen coming to drink.

Encounter Mara Camp is open between June and April every year. For the best in migration sightings, July and August are the months to look at (high season).

Cuisine and Wine
The meals at Encounter Mara Camp, depending on the weather, are served either indoors at the dining tent or outside under a canopy of Masai stars. A skilled team in the kitchen prepare all meals with only the freshest locally sourced ingredients are used.
Highlights are breakfast picnics and lunch out in the Mara bushveld.
The wine selection at Encounter Mara Camp is excellent, with a wide variety of red and white wines available. The camp has a well-stocked bar, and the staff are more than happy to help guests choose the perfect wine to accompany their meal.
All (most) dietary requests can be catered to with advance notice.
Facilities
The tented central guest areas offer views into the surrounding Mara bushveld, and the lounge tent offers guests a shaded verandah with seating, a lawn area, an indoor lounge, and a small library. This is the perfect spot to sit back and enjoy the company of guests and staff.
The dining tent and viewing deck are located not too far from the lounge tent.
WiFi is available in and around the central guest areas.

Two family tents (2x bedrooms and 2x bathrooms) and two triple tents (sleeps 3x) are available for families.
