Elewana Sand River Masai Mara, an upmarket luxurious option located within the Masai Mara National Reserve. The perfect safari camp option for those looking for a more classic tented safari experience deep in the heart of Kenya's most famed park.
The safari camp overlooks the Sand River, the endless plains and the grassy hills of the Masai Mara. Year-round wildlife sightings are nothing short of excellent but should one wish to view the annual migration, the months of August, September, and October are best (the camp lies on the northerly route of the migration).
Elewana Sand River is divided into two separate camps for a more intimate and private experience, each camp offers up its own designated dining and public areas.
Elewana Sand River Masai Mara camp offers guests the choice of 16 tented suites, all of which are located on the banks of the Sand River with spectacular views of both the river bed and the surrounding Masai Mara plains.

A highlight of one's stay are the bush breakfasts and dinners out under the African stars; delicious picnic lunches are on offer should one be on a full-day game drive.

The central guest area at Elewana Sand River Masai Mara overlooks the Sand River and out over the plains of the Masai Mara. A spectacular spot to spend one's time watching the passing wildlife and birdlife fluttering around in trees.
Inside the tented central guest area, one finds a lounge, small library, games room, bar area and indoor dining room. Outside, a large wooden verandah with seating offers guests stunning views out over the Sand River and Masai Mara. The swimming pool is located off to the side of the main lodge, perfect for those warm summer days.
Free WiFi is available in public areas both indoors and outdoors.
All safari activities on offer at the camp are within the Masai Mara National Reserve; cultural activities are outside the National Reserve.
For the Annual Migration, one needs to look at dates between August to October for the best front row seats to one of the greatest wildlife shows on earth.

Only one family suite sleeps a maximum of 5 guests; this family suite will need to be booked well in advance. All other tented suites can sleep a maximum of 2 adults + 2 children, all within the same room. Should you require privacy, instead look at the family suite.
At an additional cost, one can book a private safari vehicle for a more intimate family adventure.
