Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Palapye
- The tour starts at 08h00 on Day 1 with departure from Johannesburg.
- Travelling through the province of Limpopo we cross the border into Botswana where we set up camp in the village of Palapye.

Day 2: Boteti River
- We travel along the western edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans arriving in Xhumaga.
- Our campsite overlooks the Boteti River.
- The evening is spent relaxing around the campfire and preparing for our 4x4 excursion into Moremi Wildlife Reserve the next day.

Days 3-4: Khwai Game Reserve
- An early start takes us 2 hours to Maun - the gateway to the Delta and Moremi Wildlife Reserve.
- We change vehicles to our open sided 4x4 vehicles and arrive at Moremi by lunchtime.
- After lunch at South Gate, we enter the park and travel to the Khwai area.
- This is a pure wilderness area of great beauty, with abundant green vegetation, palm trees, teeming with birdlife and a vast population of wild animals.
- We enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives exploring the reserve in open 4x4 safari vehicles.
- Our private campsite is located inside the park where we set up bush toilets and bush showers.

Day 5: Maun
- After an early morning game drive, we exit Moremi and travel back to Maun.
- The afternoon is free for a 1-hour scenic flight over the Okavango Delta (own expense).

Day 6: Maun (Okavango excursion)
- Today we enjoy a Mokoro excursion into the Okavango Delta.
- Depart Maun at 07h30 and road transfer approximately 1 -2 hours depending on water levels.
- Upon arrival at the mokoro boat station, a mokoro poler will be introduced to you and will be your boatman and guide throughout the excursion.
- We enjoy the Delta by Mokoro and nature/game walks.
- Mid-afternoon road transfer back to Maun.

Days 7-8: Chobe National Park
- We continue through Botswana to Kasane, and our camp is set up on the banks of the Chobe River.
- Chobe is famous for its beautiful scenery, magnificent sunsets and an abundance of wildlife and birdlife.
- The following day sunset is enjoyed on a relaxing game viewing boat cruise on the Chobe River.
- Optional game drives in the Chobe National Park (own expense).

Days 9-10: Victoria Falls
- We travel across the Zimbabwe border to view Victoria Falls - one of the most spectacular sights in Africa.
- Days are spent at leisure to browse the local markets, to experience the many optional activities on offer in the adrenalin capital of Africa including white water rafting, bungee jumping, micro lighting/ aeroplane or helicopter over the Falls, rhino walks, elephant back safaris etc. and to visit the Falls (own expense).

Day 11: Makgadikgadi Pans
- Making our way back into Botswana, we set up camp at Nata.
- We visit the Makgadikgadi Pans for a truly unforgettable sunset over what remains of an ancient 6500km2 lake.

Days 12-13: Tuli Region
- Travelling South, we go to the Tuli area of Botswana.
- The Tuli area is rich in archaeological heritage, and beautiful San rock art sites have been discovered alongside numerous archaeological sites dating back from the Stone Age.
- Scattered artefacts are still being found across the reserve.
- It is also a great game area that is unfenced as to preserve natural migratory patterns.
- We camp in a beautiful, unfenced bush camp.
- The second day we enjoy a guided morning game walk and a late afternoon/evening game drive.

Day 14: Botswana Adventure Safari Ends
- We exit Botswana and travel back to Johannesburg.
- Tour ends at 17h00 with drop off at Safari Club or ORT Airport.

Baines Camp
