An Inland Safari Camp In The Secluded Kanga Pan Region of The Mana Pools National Park
Kanga Camp is located on the edge of the Kanga Pan miles inland from the Zambezi River in a private wildlife concession, offering up absolutely stunning wildlife and birdlife sightings.
A seasonal safari camp located in a completely untouched wilderness paradise offers guests a remote and wild safari experience in the Mana Pools National Park. Both wildlife and birdlife are exceptional in this area, so whether it be on a game drive, safari walking or simply sitting back at camp, one is in for a treat when visiting Kanga.
A Zimbabwe safari experience that can be combined with a riverfront option should one so desire.
Note; The camp is only open in the shoulder and dry seasons from April through to the end of November.
Rooms and Suites
All six tented suites at camp are raised on individual wooden platforms offering elevated views out over the Pan and into the Mana Pools National Park, Zimbabwe.
All Kanga accommodation options offer a private viewing deck, large bedrooms and en-suite bathroom facilities with a flushing toilet, an outdoor shower, and hot running water. The honeymoon suite offers up a bath with a view.
A family tent is available for families travelling together.
A honeymoon-styled suite is available; this option is set aside and offers a bit more space, luxury and privacy; a family suite sleeps a family of four.
At Kanga Camp, guests can enjoy the following suite amenities: standing fans, mosquito nets and repellent, tea and coffee. Additionally, all tented suites offer charging facilities for electronic devices to keep guests connected and comfortable during their stay. This makes for a comfortable and convenient stay in the heart of the African bush.
Cuisine and Wine
Delicious meals are served throughout the day, either in the outdoor dining area or the indoor dining area. Both locations at Kanga Bush Camp are dependent on what the weather is up to on any given day.
Facilities
The central guest area offers guests a small splash pool, indoor and outdoor dining areas, a spectacular viewing deck, long area with a connecting bar.
Kanga Camp is eco-friendly and is powered by solar with a small backup generator, just in case.
Activities
Kanga is located in a private concession inland from the Zambezi River deep in the Mana Pools National Park, Kanga offers safaris activities that include; twice-daily game drives in custom 4x4 safari vehicles, walking safaris, bird watching excursions, and the famed "Armchair Safari".
An "Armchair Safari"; is when one does not have to leave the lodge to see spectacular wildlife; with a water hole, a viewing deck and an armchair, sit back and relax and wait for the wildlife to come to you.
For photographers, the Hide at Kanga is the spot where one can photograph elephant, leopard, lion, wild dog, plains game and numerous bird species.
