Camelthorn Safari Lodge Offers Up Phenomenal Game Viewing In A Remote Corner Of Hwange National Park

Camelthorn is located just outside the Hwange National Park in a pristine acacia forest near the southern edge of the famed Ngamo Plains. Ngamo Plain offers fantastic wildlife and birdlife sightings and is within easy reach of the lodge when on a game drive.

The lodge experience is all about the surrounding wildlife sightings with a whole host of safari activities in which one can partake, including day and night drives, horseback safaris and the exciting "pump run" all-day game drive.

Rooms and Suites

Camelthorn Lodge with eight double story forest villas offers guests a ground floor lounge, bedroom and en-suite bathroom (bath and shower options) facilities. The flat roof area (perfect for a night under the stars) is accessible via a spiral staircase.

Facilities

The central guest area is a stone structure with a high thatch roof built in a U shape around a large Acacia Camelthorn Tree. An indoor dining room with three open fireplaces, two lounges and an open-front bar all offer views out over the surrounding Hwange bushveld.

The central guest area also offers WiFi and cell phone reception for getting in touch with the outside world.
