Phinda Private Game Reserve in the Zululand region of KwaZulu Natal is nestled between the Mkuze Game Reserve, Greater St Lucia Wetland Park and the Indian Ocean.
Comprising of 29 000 hectares, the reserve is famed for offering guests an excellent chance of sighting the "Big 5", cheetah, black rhino and other plains game as well as over 380 species of bird all the while being surround by pristine bushveld.
Phinda contains seven distinct ecosystems; woodland, grassland, wetland, forest, mountain ranges, river courses and marshes.
16 suites, three family cottages and a family suite await guests on arrival. Each wrapped in air-conditioned comfort and offer stunning vistas out over the Phinda Private Game Reserve.

The Phinda WILDchild programme is all about fun and interactive activities with opportunities to learn and discover all about the African bushveld and surrounding cultures.
The lodge is unfenced; parents need to have an eye on the kids at all times. The reserve is also in a low-risk Malaria area so precautions for the little ones do need to be taken.
