Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Windhoek
- Windhoek, with its lingering heritage of German architecture, activities, and atmosphere is a city that can be visited throughout the year.
- The day is spent at leisure.
- We are met by our guide at the hotel reception for a briefing at +-18h00.
- Meals: Dinner, own arrangements
- Accommodation: Hotel Safari (or similar accommodation)
Days 2-3: Namib Desert
- Our journey takes us south to the heart of the Namib Desert.
- The following morning is an early departure for Sossusvlei stopping in the dune belt to enjoy the changing colours of the world’s highest dunes.
- The morning is spent walking amongst the dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei.
- On the way back to our camp we enjoy a short hike through the Sesriem Canyon.

Day 4: Swakopmund
- Swakopmund, with its German colonial atmosphere, is the main coastal resort of Namibia.
- Time is spent at leisure to enjoy the charm of this old town or to undertake one of the many optional activities on offer (scenic flights, hot air ballooning, etc. own expense).
- Meals: Breakfast only
- Accommodation: Guest House
Day 5: Twyfelfontein
- Departing the Atlantic Ocean we head inland visiting a Himba village to gain a glimpse into their way of life.
- A Visit to The Damara Living Museum is also on the cards.
- Twyfelfontein; a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 2000 rock carvings.
- We walk through this amazing area enjoying the scenery and over 2000 rock carvings.
- Set up camp and enjoy a few sundowner drinks.

Days 6-8: Etosha National Park
- We travel through the truly unique landscape of the Park which is one of the largest and best reserves and game sanctuaries the world.
- Etosha is the last remaining natural wild sanctuary of the black rhino.
- We enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives, visiting the famous Etosha Pan and numerous water holes.
- Meals: All Meals

Day 9: San Village
- The San people at the Living Museum of the Ju/’Hoansi San at Grashoek are the only "Bushmen" still allowed to hunt traditionally.
- The earliest known inhabitants of Namibia are the San.
- We visit these beautiful people and learn from their ample knowledge.
- Meals: All Meals

Days 10-11: Kavango River
- We travel north towards the border of Angola.
- We enter the Kavango region which is the home of the well-known woodcarvers.
- We camp at the banks of the Kavango River where hippos might be heard close by.
- The next morning we enjoy a mokoro excursion in this beautiful area.
- In the afternoon we visit Mahango Game Reserve, with the chances of spotting crocodiles, elephants, hippos and rare antelopes like Sable, Roan, and Sitatunga.

Days 12-13: Chobe (Botswana)
- We enter Botswana where we visit Chobe, famous for its magnificent sunsets and amazing landscapes.
- We enjoy a sunset cruise to watch the wildlife from the comfort of our boat.

Day 14: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)
- Victoria Falls is without doubts one of the most magnificent spectacles in the world.
- We have time at leisure to enjoy a variety of activities and to visit the falls.
- Meals: Breakfast only
- Accommodation: Victoria Falls Rainbow Hotel or similar accommodation
Day 15: Windhoek to Victoria Falls Safari Ends
- The safari ends after breakfast (+-10h00).

Avani Windhoek Hotel

Doro Nawas Camp
Doro Nawas Camp is situated in the beautiful Damaraland on a small, rocky outcrop within the floodplain of a small tributary of the Huab River; guests are housed in 16 natural walled units that blend in with the surrounding scenery.
Namutoni Rest Camp
Namutoni offers Accommodation in either comfortable double rooms or bush chalets and is located on the eastern side of Etosha National Park, it centres on an old German Fort, overlooking the famous King Nehale waterhole.
The Desert Grace
The Desert Grace offers guest a more intimate and luxurious affair with the surrounding desert, a perfect and refined base from which to explore the surrounding attractions including Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon.
