Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Windhoek
- Arrival at Hosea Kutako (Windhoek International) airport, where you will receive your rental vehicle.
- Once you have sorted out all the formalities for your vehicle, drive to Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia.
- After check-in at the accommodation establishment, you will be taken on a city tour.
- Windhoek is a city of many contrasts with modern skyscrapers blend with historic buildings dating from the turn of the century.
- Several buildings from the German colonial era have been preserved and restored to fulfil useful functions in the community today.
- one of the sights you will see on your tour is the Ride Memorial, the Old Fort, the Parliament Building (also known as the "Ink Place"), the Lutheran Church, the Railway Station and much more.

Day 2: Waterberg Plateau
- Departing Windhoek in a northerly direction to the Frans Indongo Lodge.
- Enjoy the tasteful Ovambo style decoration, have a sundowner on the wooden terrace and observe rare species of wildlife while overlooking the majestic landscape.
- Meal: Bed and Breakfast

Day 3: Kavango Region
- Your journey takes you via Grootfontein to the Kavango Region.
- You will arrive in Rundu during the afternoon - definitely not too late for a sundowner.
- On the banks of the Kavango River, you will find the Hakusembe River Lodge - your ultimate river escape!
- All six thatched chalets are mosquito proof, river-facing and have en-suite facilities.
- Meal: Dinner, Bed and Breakfast

Day 4: Kavango Region
- Partake in one of the optional excursions and activities offered by the Lodge.
- Enjoy a boat cruise on the Kavango River, try your luck at Tiger-fishing or spend your time watching some of the over 400 species of birds that the area has to offer.
- A definite must is to go on a sundowner cruise.
- Meal: Dinner, Bed and Breakfast

Day 5: Mahango National Park
- Your destination for today is the Ndhovu Lodge next to the Mahango National Park.
- It offers five double bed bungalow units, a large central guest area, dining and living room as well as a bar and a wonderful swimming pool with a picturesque view of the river.
- Meal: Dinner, Bed and Breakfast
- Accommodation: Ndhovu Safari Lodge
Day 6: Mahango National Park
- Amongst the excursions offered by Ndhovu Safari Lodge are game drives to the Mahango Game Park.
- The Mahango Game Park borders on the Okavango River.
- Characterised by riverine forests, a broad floodplain, magnificent baobabs and large herds of elephant and red lechwe, the Mahango is one of Namibia's most diverse and interesting conservation areas.
- Furthermore it is worthwhile visiting the Popa Falls, which is another attraction in this part of Namibia.

Day 7: Mudumu National Park
- In an easterly direction, you are approaching the Mudumu National Park.
- For two nights you will be staying at the luxurious Lianshulu Lodge, situated on the banks of the Kwando River right in the Mudumu National Park.
- The area is a lush wilderness of riverine forest, marsh and open woodland, providing a home to an abundance of wildlife.
- Individually furnished, tiled, wood and thatched en-suite chalets overlook the Kwando River and its floodplains.
- Meal: All Meals
- Accommodation: Lianshulu Lodge
Day 8: Mudumu National Park
- Your daily activities include nature drives, guided nature walks, boat excursions, bird watching, night's drives and visits to a traditional Caprivi village.
- During a game-drive in the Mudumu National Park, animals likely to be encountered are elephant, buffalo, roan antelope, kudu, impala and Burchell's zebra.
- South of Lianshulu the Kwando River breaks up into a labyrinth of channels to form the Linyanti Swamp.
- Meal: All Meals

Day 9: Namibia North East Self Drive Safari Ends
- After breakfast, drive to Katima Mulilo to drop off the rental keys and take care of all formalities before boarding the scheduled Air Namibia flight to Windhoek.
- Should you wish to extend your trip to Botswana or Zimbabwe, we can gladly give you some proposals.
