Introduction
The harsh, rugged wilderness of Etosha combined with the exquisite accommodation and cuisine of Villa Mushara offers a stark contrast, which has been depicted in the villas through the use of opposing textures.
With individuality in mind, only two exclusive villas have been designed to create an ideal retreat from the stress of modern day life, where an aura of tranquillity and contemplation prevails.
Timeless appeal, shrouded by Etosha's eminent mystique. Experience the best of both worlds at this luxurious Etosha Private Lodge.
Whether it's your memories of relaxing in the private plunge pool or lounging in the "sala" that is immersed in the bush. Villa Mushara is a place that will leave you yearning for more, long after your departure.
Rooms and Suites
Each villa at this Etosha Private Lodge has its unique ambience, designed with a classic appeal. Each fine detail has been considered within the confines of the 140 square meter living space, from a small private library in each villa to a silver candle snuff in the en suite bathroom.
Air-conditioning will moderate the outside climate, and the mini bar with its comprehensive selection of beverages will satisfy even the most discerning palates. If music is required, an interesting selection of CDs ranging from Mozart to Santana will provide the ideal mood.

Safari Activities
Etosha National Park is one of Southern Africa's finest and most meter Game Reserves, which was declared a National Park in 1907. The park covers an area of 22 270 km² and is home to 114 mammal species, 340 bird species, 110 reptile species, 16 amphibian species and one species of fish.
A San legend, depicting the formation of the Etosha Pan tells of how a village was raised and everyone but the women slaughtered. One woman was so distraught about the death of her family she cried until her tears formed a massive lake. When the lake dried up nothing was left apart from a huge white pan.
On game drives, guests experience a fascinating perspective of wildlife in Etosha.
The vehicles have an all wheater safety design for the wet and dry season- they offer a 360-degree open-air unobstructed view - optimal height for visibility in a spacious and comfortable atmosphere - up-to-date game movement information and thereby a high success rate in game spotting.

The Road To Sossusvlei
Once one navigates the main Sesriem entrance gates and enters the national park a pleasant surprise awaits, a tarred road (yes, a tarred road) that extends all the way through to the main parking area near Sossusvlei.Cape Town To The Kunene River
In November and December of last year (2019), we loaded our Jeep and headed north out of Cape Town, destination Namibia and the Kunene River, her border with Angola. A couple of thousand kilometres later, we returned, this time, more in love with Namibia than ever.Windhoek Oktoberfest 2021
On the 25th and 26th of October, the Sports Klub Windhoek will host the 55th edition of the Oktoberfest. Over 5000 people are expected to attend (compared to 1000 in 2010). Adding a certain local flavour will be the Namibian band Famaz Attak, and there will be long-established activities and games like archery and tree trunk sawing.Top 5 restaurants in Windhoek
Continuing our series of dining in Africa, we look at the Namibian capital, Windhoek. More and more visitors are becoming aware of the unique attractions of Namibia as a safari destination. Nowhere is too far to travel in this small (and clean) city of 330,000 but be warned when you go out to eat, vegetarianism is not common!Best Places To Go In Namibia
The Uyaphi team has compiled a list of the "Best Places to go in Namibia" which most safari itineraries would include. Namibia is different from most African safari destinations. Instead of lush green forests or open savannas, the primary attraction of Namibia is vast, open deserts interspersed with canyons, mountain ranges, and oasis.Living With The Himba
In May 2012, we arranged for Uyaphi.Com client Ken Vine from Devon in England to stay with the traditional Himba people in two remote villages in the middle of Kaokoland, Namibia. He lived, slept, ate, conversed and photographed these Himba villagers.
