A Luxurious Safari Camp Overlooking The Linyanti River And Kings Pool Lagoon

Kings Pool Camp is located in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, a private reserve in the Linyanti / Savuti Channel area in the northern part of Botswana, on the western boundary of Chobe National Park. The source of the Savuti Channel is within this private concession and not too far from the camp.

The camp overlooks the oxbow-shaped Kings Pool Lagoon and the Linyanti River to the north.

Kings Pool was named after a Scandinavian monarch (Carl Gustav xvi) who spent some nights camping out on the banks of the lagoon, long before the camp was built here.

The Linyanti area has a significant wildlife resource with a wide variety of species, but it is most noted for its vast elephant and buffalo herds, which can reach enormous densities during our winter months. Lion, African wild dog, leopard, cheetah, Roam and Sable antelope and numerous species of plains game can be seen around the camp.

Rooms and Suites

Nine huge tented and thatched suites all overlook a hippo-filled lagoon known as Kings Pool. All suites are up there with the most luxurious offerings that are currently available in Botswana.

Suites offer up twin or king-sized beds (draped in mosquito netting), a separate lounge area / sitting area, a wooden viewing deck and a private plunge pool with an attached sala.

En-suite bathrooms are large with two indoor showers and one outdoor shower, his and her hand basins and a flushing toilet.

All suites offer the utmost privacy.

Cuisine and Wine

Kings Pool Camp offers a variety of cuisine options for guests to enjoy. The camp has a professional kitchen that prepares gourmet cuisine dishes that are both creatively presented and delicious.

There is also a wide selection of South African and international wine available at the camp to pair with your meal. An indoor dining area and outdoor dining is on offer weather dependant of course.
