- Acclimatise to your new surroundings and enjoy time at one of the two swimming pools or on the beach.
- Start your wellness journey with a Konokono Healing treatment, a 90-minute treatment using the healing energies of seashells combined with a scalp and face massage to aid your relaxation.
- Meals: Half board
- Accommodation: Matemwe Lodge
Day 2: Zanzibar
- Start your day with sunrise yoga and meditation, guided by Matemwe’s yoga instructor, followed by a refreshing Sand and Spice body scrub and wrap treatment in the spa (75 mins).
- The rest of the morning can be spent enjoying some downtime in your hammock listening to the sounds of the ocean, or if you prefer, having a swim in the warm Indian Ocean or one of the lodge’s swimming pools.
- In the afternoon, you will be driven to the west coast to enjoy a stand-up paddleboarding activity with a difference – Clean SUP combines paddling through the mangrove forests with collecting ocean litter such as plastics.
- Suitable for beginners or experienced paddlers, this is an afternoon that combines being out on the water, some gentle exercise, and giving back to the environment, too.
- Meals: Half board
- Accommodation: Matemwe Lodge
Day 3: Zanzibar
- After an early breakfast, set off with one of the Matemwe staff for a run along the coastal track near Matemwe.
- The lodge staff have their own team of runners who regularly compete in local race events, and are up for whatever duration of run you can handle, from 5km to 50km.
- Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation, and in the afternoon, enjoy your choice of 1-hour massage treatment at the spa (wide choice including shiatsu, ayurvedic abhyanga, healing hilot, oriental fusion and more) followed by a sunset pranayama or mediation session, focussing on your breathing and healing after your morning’s exertions.
