South Africa Walking Safari

Days 1-2: Mpumalanga
- After an early start we head east in the direction of Mpumalanga.
- Over the next few days we take in a few scenic attractions including Pilgrims Rest, Bourkes Luck Potholes and God's Window.
- We also get the chance of exploring the Blyde River canyon on foot.
- Chalets (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Days 3-4: Kruger National Park
- The short drive today is capped off by entering the Kruger National Park
- Over the next two days we participate in morning and afternoon game drives whilst exploring the Park in search of the "Big 5".
- Optional night drives are available (own expense)
- Tented lodges or chalets (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Days 5-6: Swaziland
- Leaving the Kruger and South Africa we enter Swaziland.
- Out home for the next two nights is the Malalotja Nature Reserve.
- A full day hike through the wild and unexplored mountainous reserve.
- Shopping opportunities as we pass through various craft markets in and around Mbabane.
- Chalets (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Days 7-9: Zululand
- With the chance for some last minute Swazi shopping before we enter South Africa again, direction Zululand.
- On the shores of Lake St Lucia (a Unesco world heritage site) we find our home for the next two nights.
- Over the next days or so we visit traditional Zulu villages, a days game driving in the Hluhluwe Game Reserve as well as exploring the St. Lucia estuary and the beaches.
- Optional the St. Lucia estuary boat cruises or kayak excursions are also available (own expense).
- Cabins (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 10: Rourkes Drift and Islandwana battlefields
- Today we head inland to the famous yet tragic Natal battlefields.
- Visiting and walking Rourkes Drift and Islandwana battlefields.
- We spend time at Rourkes Drift and Islandwana battlefields with an informative visit to the Tulana museum.
- Lodge (Breakfast and Lunch)

Days 11-12: Drakensberg
- The "Barrier of Spears" awaits us, the Drakensberg.
- With the surrounding crisp mountain air our days are spent hiking into the foothills of these mountains.
- Optional activities include, fly-fishing for trout, helicopter trips to the top of the mountains and cultural tours.
- Tented lodges or chalets (Lunch and Dinner)

Day 18: Safari Ends
- From the Drakensberg we head back to Johannesburg for the safaris conclusion.
- Time to say our farewells.
