This area is known as the Valley of the Olifants (Valley of the Elephants) and is situated in close proximity to the famous Kruger National Park in the Klaserie Game Reserve. The unique wildlife and flora, indigenous to this region, rekindles dreams of a forgotten era. This is where you will find GwalaGwala; a privately owned and run luxury tented lodge built on the banks of the Klaserie River in undisturbed Riverine Forest. This small, intimate tented camp offering luxury tented camp accommodation. Built to host a maximum of 12 people, the individually named units nestle discretely under a canopy of trees in the natural bush to ensure solitude and privacy. ROOM & SUITE TYPES: There are 6 tents, each built on a wooden platform raised in the trees on sturdy stilts. The game lodge is fully electrified & all tents have their own en suite bathroom & private deck. You have a choice of twin or queen sized beds. All bedrooms are fully insect proofed as the lodge is situated in a low risk malaria area. No effort is spared to ensure great comfort. The tents are all equipped with fans for the warm summer days & heaters & electric blankets for those chilly winter nights so that at all times you enjoy a comfortable temperature in your room. Gwalagwala also provides tea/coffee facilities, hair dryer, international plug & fridge in each unit to add to your comfort. FOOD & WINE: Enjoy African cuisine around the fire in the traditional boma.
