| Gomo Gomo Game Lodge is a unique and private getaway, situated in the greater Kruger National Park. It is an intimate, child-friendly camp built on the banks of the Nhlaralumi River in the prestigious Timbavati Game Reserve, one of South Africa's most pristine and unspoiled reserves. Known for its excellent game viewing and diverse habitats, Timbavati is the home of the white lion, and now forms part of the greater Kruger National Park, with a common unfenced border - an area comprising more than 2.2 million hectares of untamed bushveld. After dark, paraffin lamps create a romantic atmosphere of the Africa of old, as the night air is filled with the sounds of the wild. ROOM & SUITE TYPES: Gomo Gomo Game Lodge caters for two to eighteen guests. Shaded by age-old Jackalberry and Leadwood trees, the camp comprises five fully furnished, thatched chalets and four East African-style luxury tents - all built in traditional style with en-suite facilities. The emphasis is on outstanding comfort and tasteful decoration. Electricity for bedside lamps, fans and power points are supplied throughout. FOOD & WINE: Breakfast and lunch at Gomo Gomo are served on the deck in an open thatch-roofed lapa overlooking the river, while dinner is served in traditional African style around a log fire in one of two bomas. The cuisine is a combination of African and Western influences with the focus on exceptional quality.
