Rooms and Suites
Kafunta River Lodge offers up eight safari chalets and two luxury suites, ten accommodation options in total.
The thatched safari chalets offer private viewing decks, large bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms facilities with flushing toilet and hot water showers.
The two spacious luxury suites feature large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms facilities including his and hers hand basins, flushing toilet, shower and a free-standing bathtub. Additionally, each suite features a cosy mezzanine level with additional day beds and an open balcony.

Cuisine and Wine
The cuisine at River Lodge is up there with the best in the region no matter the time of day, from early morning tea to brunch to high teat all the way through to dinner, one is in for a treat.
When the night comes, enjoy a sumptuous candlelit four-course dinner under the vast African sky.

Facilities
The central guest area at Kafunta River Lodge is about those views out over and into the South Luangwa National Park teeming with wildlife and birdlife year-round.
The covered thatch area offers guests a lounge, indoor dining room, a fully stocked bar, a cosy fireplace and a small library; this entire area is open fronted with stunning views.
Numerous viewing decks feature outdoor dining locations, outdoor lounging areas, a sunken firepit, and a large swimming pool with an adjoining natural hot spring tub. All decks offer up outstanding vistas out over the floodplain and beyond.
Complimentary WiFi is available near the indoor lounge.
Activities
The main safari activities at Kafunta River Lodge are game drives; game drives in general start with an exciting pontoon crossing from which one has access into the South Luangwa National Parks wild and remote areas.
Morning walking safari options are available, but we would suggest looking at Kafunta Island Bush Camp or Kafunta Three Rivers Camp rather as these lodges offer a better walking experience.
