The Lower Zambezi National Park is Zambia's newest Park and is still relatively undeveloped, a absolute state of wilderness. The opportunity to get close to the game wandering in and out of the Zambezi channels is one of the main attractions of this National park.

The Park lies opposite the famous Mana Pools Reserve of Zimbabwe, so the whole area on both sides of the river is a massive wildlife sanctuary.
