DAY 1: ARUSHA
» Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where you'll be met by your professional safari guide and driver, and taken to your hotel or lodge in Arusha, Tanzania, where depending on the time you may rest or explore the town
» Dinner is on your own account

» Accommodation: Mount Meru Game Lodge

DAY 2: NGORONGORO HIGHLANDS
» Today a leisurely start to the day, a slow drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands
» Arrive at Plantation Lodge or similar for a late lunch
» Rest in the beaitufl grounds for the rest of the day

» Accommodation: Plantation Lodge or similar

DAY 3: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
» After breakfast, you will head to beautiful Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive and a picnic lunch
» Lake Manyara is a beautiful park with a variety of eco-systems
» There is a ground water forest, soda lake and dry savannah area to name a few
» The park hosts hundreds of elephant along with giraffe, baboon, several species of monkeys and a myriad of birds
» You may be fortunate enough to see the resident lions resting up in a tree
» Later you will climb the escarpment to Karatu and the Ngorongoro Highlands for overnight at Plantation Lodge or similar

DAY 4: NGORONGORO CRATER
» Today you will leave Karatu and onwards to the world heritage listed Ngorongoro Crater
» The crater is home to all of the larger African mammals with the exception of giraffe (they can’t cope with the steep descent) Here is one of the few remaining places it’s possible to encounter the highly endangered black rhino
» It is also possible to see elephant (mostly lone or “bachelor” bulls, contented prides of lion, hippo, a resident herd of wildebeest, zebra, various gazelles, impala, baboon and much more
» Ascend later to the Plantation Lodge or similar

DAY 5: SERENGETI PLAINS
» Leave the Ngorongoro Highlands for the Serengeti Plains
» Depending on the time of year and where the wildebeest are more likely to be, you may be in the Ndutu region or in the central Seronera region

» Accommodation: Serengeti Savannah Camp

DAYS 6,7,8: SERENGETI PLAINS
» Spend the next 3 nights under canvas in the Serengeti eco system
» Game drives during the day.
» Speak to you guide about the best places to visit during your time in the Serengeti

» Accommodation: Serengeti Savannah Camp

DAY 9: STONE TOWN
» Today drive back towards Karatu and Lake Manyara airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar
» On arrival on Zanzibar you will be met and transferred to Stone Town and the fabulous Mbweni Ruins

» Accommodation: Mbweni Ruins - Stone Town

DAY 10: CHUMBE ISLAND
» This morning you will transfer by boat the ecological island of Chumbe
» Chumbe Island Coral park is a marine protected area
» The bandas are palm thatched bungalows and all seven facing the beach

» Accommodation: Chumbe Island

DAYS 11,12,13: CHUMBE ISLAND
» Another three nights on this fabulous Island

» Accommodation: Chumbe Island

DAY 14: END OF SAFARI
» Transfer over to Stone Town and onwards towards the Airport for your flight from Zanzibar to Dar Es Salaam
