Experience Saronsberg Wine Estate: A Fusion of Award-Winning Shiraz and Contemporary Art
When it comes to wine tastings, Saronsberg is nothing short of spectacular. Upon arrival, you are greeted by a magnificent sculpture before making your way up a winding driveway to the main tasting room and gallery.
The views from the tasting area are exceptional, looking out over perfectly manicured lawns, a tranquil dam, sprawling vineyards, and the majestic mountains in the distance. Everywhere you turn, you are met with sculptures and paintings from celebrated artists like Norman Catherine, Diane Victor, and Angus Taylor.
While we are by no means wine experts, we adored the tasting experience. I (James) particularly enjoyed the "Earth in Motion" Chenin Blanc, while Verity fell completely in love with the "2014 Saronsberg Shiraz". Our shared favourite, however, was without a doubt the "Saronsberg Brut Methode Cap Classique 2012"—a truly exceptional wine that we could happily enjoy every day.
Ultimately, Saronsberg offers more than just a wine tasting; it is a complete sensory experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit; the wine was superb, the staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable, and the artwork was both fascinating and thought-provoking.
