Hluhluwe & St LuciaSAFARI HIGHLIGHTS:Zululand - the heart of the vibrant Zulu Kingdom is home to an amazing World Heritage Site, one of South Africa's premier deep sea diving marine reserves, with vibrant and protected coral reefs, and a number of the country's finest game reserves. This 3 day tour takes you on safari in open safari vehicles in the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi 'Big Five' Game Reserve and allows you a glimpse into the life of the traditional/rural Zulu, who to this day retains a great deal of the 'old cultural' customs and beliefs, which often feel completely 'alien' yet fascinating to the western world. Day 1: Durban / St Lucia / Hluhluwe » We leave Durban by 07h00, arriving at Mtubatuba by 11h30 where we meet our guide » We change vehicle and transfer to Veyane Zulu Cultural Village where we will have the opportunity to learn more about the contemporary way of life of the local Zulu people » We watch and have the opportunity to join in on bead making, mat weaving, and the playing of local instruments » We will meet a sangoma (witchdoctor) and watch traditional Zulu dancing.
