| Taita Falcon Lodge, perched on the edge of the Batoka Gorge, above rapid 17 of the mighty Zambezi River, this exclusive lodge offers its guests the height of luxury amidst beautiful surroundings. Situated in a natural bush enironment, the lodge affords both privacy and comfort. The gardens around the Lodge are a colourful blend of indigenous plants with an abundance of bird life, including Vereaux Eagles, Peregrine Falcons, and the Lodge's namesake, the rate and beautiful Taita Falcon. A unique departure from the typical hotel fare, Taita Falcon Lodge's focus is on quality and providing guests with an unforgettable African experience. |

| ROOM & SUITE TYPES: Six en-suite chalets, constructed using natural occurring materials from the surrounding area, give a taste of authenticity without compromising on comfort. Great care and attention has gone into the chalet design and furnishings. A spacious en-suite bathroom provides guests with all the amenities for an enjoyable stay. The soft furnishings are carefully co-ordinated with furniture which is made using indigenous materials by local craftsmen. The reed walls of the chalet are at 3/4 height, but can be raised to the full height if required. There are mosquito nets on all the beds and coils are used in the evenings. During the cooler months hot water bottles are used in the beds for cozy warmth. FOOD & WINE: Dinner is served in the open sided dining area or occasionally barbeque evenings are held around the swimming pool. FACILITIES/ACTIVITIES: Acitivities include guided bush and bird walks, short hikes, cultural village tours, visits to the Victoria Falls, Sunset Game Viewing Cruise and Livingstone Town Tours. Game Drives are also offered by the Lodge. Additional activities can be arranged such as Chobe day trips, white water rafting, scenic flights over the Falls, elephant back, horse back, walking or river boat safaris, abseiling, bungi jumping and extreme combos. Taita Falcon Lodge also operates multi day hiking trails in the Batoka Gorge.
