| The historic Grande Roche and its adjoining suites create an oasis among the Winelands, only 30 minutes from Cape Town. The Hotel is a member of the renowned Relais & Chateaux hotel association, with a Relais Gourmand status. The old slave quarters, stables and wine cellar have been carefully restored and converted into 17 suites. In addition Grande Roche offers 18 new terrace suites are set among the vineyards and offer a tapestry of views. In the Bosman's Restaurant serves gourmet cuisine and has been recognised as the top deluxe restaurant in South Africa for three consecutive years. It seats 70 people, and its award-winning wine list features almost 300 wines. The Grande Roche is an immaculately restored Cape Dutch homestead dates back to the 18th century, and offers guests a variety of sumptuous accommodations which include 29 luxury suites and five executive rooms. Each of our luxurious accommodations has been lavishly designed and decorated for the comfort and pampering of guests. We ensure that everyone who visits, leaves with special memories of this unique estate escape - the treasure of the Cape Winelands. All Grande Roche rooms offer: - Flowers, fruits and mineral water on arrival - Individually controlled air-conditioning - Under-floor heating - Digital telephones - Satellite television (suites have TV's & DVD's in the lounges and TV's in the bedrooms) - An electronic safe for valuables - A mini bar fridge - Tea/coffee making facilities - Hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers and umbrellas - Molton Brown amenities in the bathrooms - Internet access via the telephone line. Honeymoon Suite: Lounge, bedroom (king size bed), bathroom (double shower and jacuzzi), private sun terrace and separate enclosed patio, DVD/CD Player. (50m² + terrace 28m²) 18 Terrace Suites: Lounge and bedroom (14 twin beds, 4 king size beds), bathroom separate shower and bath, double basins), underfloor heating, front terrace with garden furniture and ceramic and terracotta flooring, overlooking the vineyards. All on one level. (51m² + terrace 27m²) 5 Duplex Suites: (Suites on two levels) Ground level: lounge, guest toilet first floor: bedroom (5 twin beds), bathroom (separate shower and bath facilities), 2 wash basins. (+/- 65 m²) 5 Junior Duplex Suites: (Suites on two levels) Ground level: lounge, guest toilet first floor: bedroom (5 queen beds), bathroom (separate shower and bath facilities, Semillion Suite with shower only), 2 wash basins. (+/- 50 m²) 5 Standard Rooms: Integrated lounge/bedroom (3 king size, 3 queen size beds), bathroom (separate shower and bath; Saddle with shower only). (+/- 37m² + +/- 45m² own terrace or lawn) Grande Roche Facilities include two floodlit tennis courts, two swimming pools, health centre (with steam bath, sauna, in-house masseur). With a golf course and some of the Cape's top wine estates nearby, the hotel is the perfect base for exploring the entire Cape Town environs. |
