| Bakubung Bush Lodge, a mere two hours drive north of Johannesburg and Pretoria and you'll find yourself in the tranquil heart of the bush. Pilanesberg Game Reserve is home to the gargantuan shapes of Africa's giants - elephants, rhino and buffalo. If you're fortunate, you may catch a glimpse of the stealthy leopard or lion, stately king of the bush. Wild country indeed, but without the risk of malaria. Bakubung Bush Lodge - a venue of such excellence that it has been awarded "Best Bush Conference Venue" at the 2000 Venue Finder Awards. It was also voted the ASATA\ Diners Club "Best South African Game Lodge" earlier this year. Also available in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve is Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge and Tshukudu Bush Lodge. BAKUBUNG BUSH LODGE ROOM & SUITE TYPES: The 76 air-conditioned, thatched roof, studio rooms and 66 chalets curve into a horse-shoe around the outside entertainment areas, huddling visitors in cosy intimacy. All rooms have DStv, direct dialling phones, en-suite bathrooms, electric shaving plugs, coffee/tea making machines and a hair dryer. FOOD & WINE: Enjoy a fine meal at the restaurant or relax over a light meal on the terrace overlooking the vastness of the game reserve where occasionally you will be entertained by the antics of the animals who come up close to the fence surrounding Bakubung Bush Lodge.
