Here you will have excellent opportunities for spectacular photographs of big game species daily visiting the close by water hole. Serondella Lodge accommodates only eight guests in 3 luxuriously appointed suites and a family suite. The camp is set along the banks of a Monwana tributary. Each suite is carefully positioned to ensure privacy and stunning vistas. The lodge is flanked by two water holes. Here guests can enjoy the abundance of big game and birdlife from spectacular viewing decks. A highly qualified ranger and tracker team, host you on a journey for the soul as you experience close and unrestricted encounters with all that is Africa from an open Land Rover. For the more adventurous guest, you will be invited to join your hosts on a bush walk. ROOM & SUITE TYPES: With the added option of a three-bedroomed family suite and elevated viewing hides, Serondella Lodge is an ideal safari destination for families and photographers alike. Here in the riverine forests on the banks of a tributary of the Monwana watercourse in the heart of the Thornybush Nature Reserve are three carefully designed suites, in addition to the optional family suite, accommodating a maximum of eight guests ensuring guests complete privacy and stunning vistas. The viewing hides allow bird lovers an excellent opportunity to encounter the game reserve’s 507 different species of bird as well as regular visits by other animals. The fact that Serondella can accommodate a maximum of eight means that guests will have the hosts undivided attention for the duration of their stay. Surprise bush and boma dinners as well as intimate sunset dinners for two on the viewing hides are the very least the astute guest can expect from Serondella Lodge. FOOD & WINE: Sumptuous African cuisine is available to be enjoyed at the outdoor Boma. AMANI SPA: Amani Spa's, operators of the Thornybush Game Lodge Spa Centre, have just completed the construction and renovation of existing Spa facilities at this flagship five star game lodge. The new centre, almost three times the size of the previous operation and with two full-time therapists, will offer a full range of treatments for Thornybush Game Lodge guests, as well as satellite treatments to our guests at Chapungu and the group's self catering camp, Nkelenga, both camps located a short distance from Thornybush Game Lodge. ACTIVITIES: Serondella Game Lodge offers unique exclusive Safari experiences in both open Land Rovers, and on foot. The private reserve is home to an abundance of species: 147 mammals including the "Big Five", 114 reptiles, 507 birds, 49 fish, 34 amphibians and 336 trees. The reserve is predominantly open savannah and with a near perfect year round climate, it is the ideal African safari holiday destination. Morning and evening safaris in open landrovers are conducted by qualified rangers and trackers from all lodges, with walks encouraged for the more adventurous. Children under the age of 6 are not permitted on safaris or walks. Children between the age of 6 and 12 will be permitted at the sole discretion of lodge management. Thornybush Game Reserve is situated in a malaria area, prophylactic measures are recommended. |
