Safari Itinerary
Days 1-2: Kruger National Park
- Departing Johannesburg at 06:30 am we head in a north-easterly direction into the Kruger National Park.
- Numerous spot en-route to stretch our legs and to photograph the scenery around us.
- We visit the wild & seldom seen northern sections of the park from Satara to Pufuri.
- Early morning and afternoon game drives are par for the course over the next few day with very good chances to spot lion, elephant, rhino and other animals in this area.
- Overnight: Campsite.
Day 3: Great Zimbabwe Ruins
- An early start to the day.
- Entering Zimbabwe (through Beit Bridge), we travel to the town of Masvingo and onto the Great Zimbabwe Ruins.
- After arriving and setting up camp we head off on foot to explore and photograph these magnificent Ruins.
- The ruins date back to the 11th to 14th Centuries and are some of the oldest and largest stone structures in Southern Africa.
- After dinner, we relax around a roaring campfire.
- Overnight: Campsite
Day 4: Matobo National Park
- From Masvingo, we head off to Bulawayo and the Matobo National Park in a westerly direction.
- After setting up camp just outside Matobo National Park we get back in the vehicle to explore the park.
- On foot, we search out San Bushman rock paintings followed by a visit to the gravesite of Cecil John Rhodes set high up on the granite koppies.
- There is also the chance of a guided walk in which we hope to get up-close and personal with a few of the rhinos within the park.

Days 5-6: Hwange National Park
- After breakfast, we head north towards Hwange National Park and her wildlife.
- Hwange National Park is roughly 14 650 square kilometers in size and is famed for her wildlife in particular large herds of elephants.
- Our camp for the next few days is just outside the borders of the park itself, in a private game management area.
- On day 6 a full days drive within the park awaits, spectacular wildlife and birdlife are pointed out to us by our professional local guide.
- We also get the chance to stop and relax at a few hides along the way, sunsets in Hwange are hues of reds and oranges.
- Overnight: Campsite
Days 7-8: Victoria Falls
- Just a few hours after leaving Hwange we reach Victoria Falls.
- Setting up camp is our first call thereafter a quick briefing on activities and options available in the area.
- An afternoon guided walk through the tropical vegetation to the very edge of Victoria Falls.
- There are opportunities to whitewater raft on the mighty Zambezi River, bungee jump or take a "flight of angels" (own expense).
- In a nutshell, these days are at your leisure.
- Overnight: Campsite
Day 9: Safari Ends - Victoria Falls
- Tour ends after breakfast in the town of Victoria Falls.
- Transfers to Vic Falls or Livingstone Airport available on request.
