Located a short distance away from the famous Rorkes' Drift and Isandlwana Battlefields.
It is in homage to the Zulu nation that Isisbindi Zulu Lodge was designed and created with all buildings and suites crafted in a traditional beehive style.
Isibindi is that destination from which to experience Battlefield tours, Zulu culture, comfortable accommodation and a game drive or two.
The 4000-acre Isibindi Eco-Reserve which offers diverse habitats ranging from grassland, thornveld and riverine forests.
Birdlife around the lodge and reserve is rather good for those interested in birding.
Giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and other plains game can be spotted during one of the game drives on offer.
Large traditional Zulu beehive suites all with views out onto the surrounding game reserve and beyond.
All suites offer a private wooden viewing deck, king-sized beds, en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower. Suites are far enough apart to ensure total privacy.
A honeymoon suite with more space, more privacy and a sunken stone bath is the option should one require something a bit more romantic.
Al fresco breakfasts and lunches are served near the swimming pool, main verandah or the indoor dining area - depending of course on how the weather is behaving.
Dinners are of a traditional South African flair either hosted in the dining room or outside in a traditional Zulu boma with singing and dancing a highlight.
Picnic lunches somewhere in the reserve is an option to seriously consider.
