Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda's largest national park, with an area size of 3,840 square kilometers. The parks wildlife has mostly recovered from the massacre by poachers and troops under Idi Amin. A variety of antelope, elephant, buffalo and giraffe are frequently seen on game drives.

Rwenzori Mountains Park

There are five different vegetation zones found in the national park, these are grassland, montane forest, bamboo, Heather / Rapanea and afro-alpine moorland. Game viewing is a pleasure, with Rwenzori colobus monkey, chimpanzees, forest hog, hyrax, duiker,leopard and blue monkeys to be seen.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for its volcanic features and wildlife and is one of Uganda's most visited parks. Many of the parks wildlife were killed in the Tanzania - Uganda war, but many of the species have recovered. The park is a perfect safari destination, with almost 100 mammals and600 bird species.

Bwindi Impenetrable

Bwindi Impenetrable is most renowned for half of the worlds population of endangered Mountain Gorillas. There are many other animals in the park, such as the grey-cheeked mangabey, elephants, black and white colobus, red colobus, blue monkeys and chimpanzees.

Mgahinga National Park

Mgahinga National Parkconsists mainly of three extinct volcanoes and forested slopes. The park forms part of the 'Virunga Conservation Area' or VCA and has a great biological importance. Attractions of the park are gorilla tracking, hiking, birding and cave exploration.

Semliki National Park

Semliki National Park is lower-lying and more remote than most of Uganda's national parks and is located in the Bundibugyo District. The park is known for the Sempaya hot springs and has more than 400 bird species, 53mammal species and 305 tree species recorded.

Kibale National Park

Kibale National Parkadjoins with Queen Elizabeth National Park, and is the most accessible of Uganda's major rainforests. The park isfamous for the opportunity to track habituated chimpanzees and is a primatologist's dream. The mammal population of Kibale National Park is dominated by primates

Lake Mburo National Park

Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest of Uganda's savanna national parks and is located in western Uganda (a four hour drive from Kampala). Lake Mburo accounts for twenty percent of the park's surface. A variety of wildlife can be seen at the park, including buffaloes, impala, eland, zebras, topi and klipspringer.

Mount Elgon National Park

Mt. Elgon has the largest surface area of any extinct volcano in the world, and the mountain has a variety of vegetation that ranges from dense montane forest and mixed bamboo belts to intriguing heath and moorland. The wildlife to be seen includes a variety of antelope and forest monkeys, along with buffalo and elephant.
